An Introduction to the Sunnah: The Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam was sent with the Quran and he was instructed to explain and exemplify it. In this class you will learn what the status of the Sunnah is in Islam and briefly study selected books of ahadith as well as learn the sciences associated with grading the authenticity of the narrations of our beloved Prophet.

  

 

Book Required: (please make sure you have the books before the first day of class)
1) A Textbook of Hadith Studies
2) The Authority and Importance of Sunnah

Credit: 3
Total Number of Video Lecture with Power Point: 13

Student MUST finish lessons in sequence; student must finish ALL the lessons before the end of the semester. Lessons will become disabled in sequence according to expiration date.

 

Student must complete all the lessons, homeworks, quizes, midterm, final exam if applicable.

 

Upon completion of all the lessons student must take the final exam.
